| General Information:
Hours
Westfield Nursery is open from 7.30a.m. until 6.00 p.m. Children should not arrive too early or be collected late. If someone unknown to the nursery is to collect your child, we must be notified prior to the day it is to happen. Children will not be allowed to be taken by any unknown adult.
Holidays
Westfield Nursery is open for 51 weeks a year, closing for a week at Christmas and all statutory Bank Holidays. (Which will be charged at the normal rates). Your holiday entitlement is 2 weeks at half fees per year. All the other 50 weeks must be paid in full. Holidays are not to be carried forward and holidays run within the year that your child started nursery.
Sickness
Westfield Nursery reserves the right to contact a parent/carer and request that their child is collected if it is considered that the child is too ill to be in nursery. Children with contagious illnesses must be excluded until clear.
Medicine
Any medicine should be recorded on the medication sheets and be handed to a member of staff. Any medication which has not been prescribed by a doctor cannot be given to your child whilst at nursery.
Childrens Progress/development
This is carefully monitored by our nursery staff.
Progress/development files are kept and are
available for parents/carers to see at any time.
Clothes and personal property
Parents/carers are asked to provide a spare change of clothes and disposable nappies (if appropriate).
Admissions Policy
To ensure that every child feels happy and secure at Westfield Nursery we encourage parent/carers to settle their child/ren in by bringing them to visit on at least two occasions prior to their start date. We feel that this will add to parents/carers relaxed confidence in their child’s well being.
Notice
One months notice is required when your child/ren is to leave Westfield Nursery or cancel any sessions. Westfield Nursery reserves the right to exclude children for non payment of fees.
Meals and snacks
Westfield Nursery provides an extensive menu to suit all diets and requirements. The children’s meals are prepared daily on the premises by our cook. The menu provides a highly nutritious, healthy and well balanced diet for all our children. Special dietary requirements can be met where necessary and a full vegetarian alternative is provided.
The meal times are as follows:-
Breakfast - on arrival - cereal
Morning snack - 9.00 / 9.30 - toast and fruit
Lunch - 11.30 / 12.00 - varied 2 course meal
Afternoon snack - 2.00 / 2.30 - drink
Tea - 3.30 / 4.00 - varied 2 course meal
